Catherine Olsen has a wealth of experience in the international documentary marketplace, and is now working as a Programming Consultant and freelance Executive Producer, as well as a moderator, mentor, and editorial coach at Documentary Festivals and workshops, For the past 22 years, Catherine was the Executive Producer of Documentaries for CBC News Network and Commissioning Editor of one of the most successful documentary series in North America “The Passionate Eye”.

It’s a contemporary series she helped develop featuring a selection of the world’s best, most provocative, and creative documentaries dealing with political and social issues. Its a series she also had the unique opportunity of hosting for 8 years. Catherine is one of the founding members of the Canadian Documentary Festival Hot Docs, and for many years, a member of its international advisory board. She began her career as a camerawoman and editor, and has since worked as a TV journalist & host, writer, director, and documentary producer. Films she’s commissioned or invested in have won virtually every award available, including Oscars, Emmys, Canadian Geminis , Bafta’s, and Peabody’s. Canadian films commissioned for the Passionate Eye she’s particularly proud of include “Up the Yangtze”, “Shake Hands with the Devil”, ‘Reel Injun’, “Sex Slaves”, :Indecently Exposed”, “65 Red Roses”, to name just a few. Charlie Phillips is the Head of Documentaries at The Guardian. Guardian Documentaries is a new project to commission and acquire new documentaries from all around the world for the one of the world’s most visited serious online video platforms, The Guardian’s global website. The Guardian is one of the world’s most read English Language news sources, with 120m monthly unique browser visits.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 2014, it has a long-respected reputation for news, investigation and multimedia. We’re looking to commission mostly short form documentaries, with the occasional co-production on a longer doc. The docs we want need to have brilliant storytelling and characters focused on contemporary subjects which are relevant globally and feel very new. Charlie was previously Deputy Director at Sheffield Doc/Fest for 7 years before joining The Guardian in 2014, and prior to that he was Editor of FourDocs for Channel 4.

After taking a degree in Political Science, Clémence Coppey was a producer for ten years at indie production house  « Les films à Lou ». She produced numerous documentaries for France 2, France 3, France 5, ARTE, RTBF, RTSR, BBC.From October 2005 to January 2011, Clémence Coppey was commissioning editor for History at France 2 where she commissioned for the Thursday 11 pm documentary slot Infrared and the prime-time slot. Isabella Pisani

We broadcast every day of the week except on Wednesdays where there is a documentary shown at prime time (20h30) also during the week-end in new program called “GRAND ECRAN” we show a documentary followed by a debate with the director of the film.
We have daily themes, for example on Mondays we broadcast a historical doc, on Tuesdays its political, Thursdays it is social end economical themes and on Fridays we have a worldwide international theme.
The objective is to diversify written documentaries, program documentaries from more creative authors, investigative documentaries and also some more classical documentaries.

The head of the company is Michel Noll. He was born in Germany and lives in France close to 40 years. After reading Economics and Sociology at Cologne University in Germany, he became a Producer/Director of television programs when, in 1977, he joined TELECIP in Paris, the then leading French independent production company.In 1982, he was asked to launch REVCOM TELEViSION as the independent television arm of French Publishing Group ‘Editions Mondiales’ which he rapidly made into the most successful and international of French production companies, with subsidiaries in Germany, United Kingdom and Australia.

Robert Zuber

Robert Tomić Zuber was born in Pula in 1972. He’s been working as a journalist and editor in Croatian publications for 18 years and he was awarded twice by the Croatian Journalist Society. During the last 8 years he’s mostly been doing journalistic work for Croatian Radiotelevision and investigating social and humanitarian topics mostly through his TV show “Mission”. Through his career, he started filming documentary films. 2001. he directed his first documentary film, “Na stanici u Puli”, which was the most watched documentary in cinemas that year.

His second autobiographical documentary, “An Accidental Son”, shot as a part of UNICEF’s “Every Child Needs A Home” action and received the award Oktavijan for the best documentary of the year on the Days of Croatian Film. The last film he directed, “Mila Seeks Senida” received an award at Sarajevo Film Festival, in the category of human rights. Today he is the Commissioning Editor for the documentary programme on Croatian Radiotelevision.

Croatian Radiotelevision is a public radio and television company. It is one of the
European public broadcasting organisations created to serve the society, establish a
public good and contribute to the development of a democratic society.
HRT began back in May 1926 with the founding of Croatian Radio. Broadcasting had been started by members of the Zagreb Radio Club. They obtained a concession and
